Tree trimmingFall is considered the best time of year for tree trimming and pruning. For our native Live Oaks, this is especially true because it decreases the chance of oak wilt. It will also give your trees time to recover and come back strong and beautiful in the spring.

Shrub PRUNINGAlthough shrubs can be pruned throughout the year, Fall is also an excellent time for deep shrub pruning. This time of year, most shrubs are finished with their growing season and pruning them will help promote growth and flowering in the spring.

PERENNIAL cut backHere in Central Texas it stays warm enough for many of our perennials, such as Lantana and Salvia, to continue blooming and thriving until late fall or early winter. When they are cut back properly, they will pop right back up with plenty of blooms in early spring.
